State laws that make you go hmmmm
Oregon is my home base now and today I want to share some of our laws that make you go Hmmm.
Drivers must yield to pedestrians who are standing on the sidewalk.
(Ok but if we are on the sidewalk why do we need you to yield to us?)
Babies may not be carried on the running boards of a car.
(Baby on running board? Now there is something for Dr Spock!)
A door on a car may not be left open longer than is necessary.
(So if I have a cane and it takes me 5 min. to get out of the car but I drop it and it takes one more min am I in trouble?)
Dishes must drip dry.
(But I have a dish washer?)
Ice cream may not be eaten on Sundays.
(Yet Dairy Queen is open on Sunday!)
One may not bathe without wearing “suitable clothing,”
(Last time I checked clothing was not working for this. Does not work with putting on deorderant either...personal testimoney)
Canned corn is not to be used as bait for fishing.
(What if I take it out of the can?)

Here's the funniest part, turns out we do pass on behaviour's etc. Through the other chemicals in our body. While it's not fully understood, it is known to happen. Keep laughing for happy children =)
